This online workshop is designed to equip African reporters with the skills to:
*Identify and write funding proposals for their journalism projects as freelancers or as staff reporters.
*Read and understand calls for funding and grants, and respond to the calls appropriately.
Craft and design projects that are worth funding
*Marshal reliable data and statistics to support the application.
*Sharpen the grammar and wordings that can hook the funders.
*Master the proposal formats used agencies that fund journalism assignments.
The workshop has exercises designed to strengthen participants’ mastery of writing proposals that get funded. It is best suited for editors, journalists and freelance writers with little or no grant writing experience.

*Get a copy of a guideline on how to answer portions of an actual grant proposal.
