Expanding Research Visibility Through Dimensions in Africa and Beyond

In the second quarter of 2025, Digital Science, in collaboration with the Training Centre in Communication (TCC Africa), expanded the reach of the Dimensions platform beyond Africa into Asia, hosting impactful national workshops in Benin, Nigeria, and India. This marked a significant milestone for the initiative as it extended its footprint beyond the African continent.

Throughout Q2, the program trained 1,643 researchers, librarians, and academics from institutions in Uganda, Zimbabwe, and the host countries, equipping participants with practical knowledge to improve research discovery, foster Open Access, and enhance institutional visibility.
This cross-regional engagement reflects the growing global relevance of the initiative and reaffirms its commitment to building inclusive, data-driven research ecosystems across the Global South.
