TCC Africa and Scifiniti Launch Strategic Partnership with Peer Review & Research Integrity Webinar

15 December 2025 Categories: Communication, Featured, latest news, News, Press Releases

The Training Centre in Communication (TCC Africa), in partnership with Scifiniti Publishing, successfully hosted a virtual webinar titled “Peer Review & Research Integrity” on 15th December 2025 from 10:00 AM EAT / 11:00 AM GST marking the official kick-off of a new strategic collaboration between the two organizations.

Peer review remains a cornerstone of scholarly publishing, essential for ensuring the quality, credibility, and integrity of research. However, many early- and mid-career researchers continue to face challenges related to ethical peer review practices, research integrity standards, and meaningful participation in review processes. This webinar was convened to address these gaps by equipping researchers with practical knowledge and skills to engage responsibly in scholarly publishing.

The session brought together researchers from across disciplines and featured contributions from experienced editors, reviewers, and publishing professionals from TCC Africa, Scifiniti, PREreview, Crossref, Retraction Watch, and GenoMed Connect. The speakers shared practical guidance, integrity-focused insights, and real-world perspectives on navigating peer review. Through interactive discussions and expert-led presentations, participants gained a deeper understanding of ethical peer review, responsible authorship, and the evolving expectations of scholarly publishing.

With 680 registrants spanning Africa, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and North America, the webinar demonstrated broad regional representation and strong international engagement, reinforcing the global importance of strengthening ethical peer review practices.

Importantly, this highly attended webinar also marked the first joint activity under the newly established partnership between Scifiniti Publishing and TCC Africa. The collaboration seeks to strengthen research capacity, promote ethical scholarly communication, and support researchers—particularly in the Global South—in producing, reviewing, and disseminating high-quality research.
